Mondays, January 5 through 26 10am to noon Central, join Laura for a customized, wooly adventure and make a special momento to a furry friend–or more than one!

Via the multiple selections below, catch your class time plus the materials you need. Options include:

• Downloads to draw your own on monk’s cloth
• Options to have Laura personalize your design
• Opt to use your own yarns or snag those in the example
• Use your own felting supplies or opt for the felting kit and Laura will personalize the colors for your pet of choice
• Order the frame or bring your own
• Choose more than one of any of these offerings and make portraits of multiple pets!

Mix and match to suit your style. For students outside the country, the download option lets you mark your own monk’s cloth and supply your own materials while still participating in the live class, should you wish. If you are not buying physical materials, select “no pickup required” at checkout.

Course Overview

• Session 1: Felting animal bases and structures and customizing for your pet(s)
• Session 2: Felting embellishments, trimming, and stitching the padding to the monk’s cloth
• Session 3: Stitching on the finished pet and punching the decorative frame
• Session 4: Punching the inside and tricky spots around legs etc. and mounting the piece

Students Should Also Supply:

• 10×10 gripper strip frame or 10 inch Morgan no-slip hoop
• 10 inch embroidery hoop for felting the dog or cat 
• #14 and #13 fine Oxford punch needle
• Bent scissors
• Fabric scissors
• Needle and thread
• Hair dryer (if using the display hoop)
