Jump into a cozy, interdisciplinary experience of all things sheep with this unique project!  Explore Scandinavian-style wool-on-wool embroidery using hand dyed wool yarns from the instructor’s sheep on upcycled washed wool fabric, as well as learn how to stitch shearling sheepskin pelt to create the comfy, customized.  The leather is from the instructor’s farm’s sheep and is naturally bark tanned. This project pairs excellently with the wool embroidered sheepskin mittens.

Custom kit includes:

• Bark tanned shearling sheepskin pre-cut pieces headband, which is custom-sized during class.
• 5 colors of wool yarn from instructor’s sheep.
• Washed wool fabric with design: please choose black, teal, or red.
• Embroidery needle.
• Glover’s needles and faux sinew for stitching
• PDF of photo essay for additional instructions.

Students Should Also Supply:

• Thread scissors
• Fabric scissors
• Silver sharpie (optional)
• Supple thimble (optional, band aids work well too!)
• Beeswax bar or candle
• Sewing thread

Directions include sizing the headband and assembly. Makes 1 headband.
