Preferrably for graduates of Laura’s course Wool Embroidery L-1 (but if you are coming with previous embroidery skills, please feel free to reach out to see if this is a good fit for you), this course explores wool on linen stitches as used in the Bayeux Tapestry and other medieval examples to create a stunning dragon-themed piece.
This Zoom class meets on Sunday mornings, 10am to noon Central, June 9, 16, and 23.
Our sessions will be recorded and made available for a month after our final session to registrants of the class.
Class Kit Includes:
- Linen backing with drawn design
- Embroidery needle
- Wool embroidery yarn from the instructor’s sheep
- Stitch guide diagram
If you need to have the kit shipped to you, please add shipping in the checkout process.
What you will also need:
- 8 inch embroidery hoop (perferrably with the inner hoop wrapped, as taught in the L-1 course)
- Embroidery stands are optional, but it is nice to be able to work with 2 hands
- Sharp thread scissors
- It is strongly recommended that students have their own copy of Tanya Bentham’s book “Bayeux Stitch” for reference during the course.
With the purchase of this ticket, I’ll send you an email with the Zoom invite. Be sure to use the email address in the checkout that you would like me to use for sending you this link. Â
