How can I experience the farm ?

Sustainable Life Educational Events

This year, we will not be offering public tours of North Star Homestead Farms (NSHF). Biosecurity concerns are a national issue and we all must work together to preserve the sanctity and integrity of farms for the benifit of us all. Toward that end, in 2011 we separated one acre of the 250 acre farm and created Farmstead Creamery and Cafe as a community gathering spot for sharing the vision of "A healthy planet and all it's inhabitants."

Biodynamic farming involves maintaining a balance between natural and human influences. Over the years, we have worked to bring elements of the experience of our farm to Farmstead Creamery, where you can enjoy them whenever you come to visit. You can learn about the layout of the farm via our large farm map on the front of the building, visit our celebrity animals, touch one of the farm's original tractors, and more. Also watch for the launch of our Virtual Farm Tour and our outdoor informational walk on Farmstead Creamery's Cafe grounds (coming soon!). We do want you to be able to share in the lived experience that is North Star Homestead Farms--and here are several offerings for the 2019 season:
