Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

Enjoy the Best of Fresh and Local, From Our Farm to Your Kitchen

At North Star Homestead Farms, our vision is for a healthy planet and all its inhabitants. Launched in 2007, our CSA program is a way of living that vision through regenerative and biodynamic practices on our homestead and in our aquaponics greenhouse. Joining our CSA program means that this healthful deliciousness is packed with care just for you!

CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is an exciting program that connects the foodie directly with the grower. Many of our CSA say "It's like Christmas!" when picking up their share, excited to see what's in the selection. We know that our clients have a variety of needs (including food allergies), and we have built a model since 2007 that is both flexible and scalable. You can choose between weekly, twice-monthly, and monthly pickup options, with pickups available at these locations:

Farmstead Creamery

Hayward at NorthLakes Community Clinic Farmer Market (1st and 3rd Thursdays)

Hayward at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital (2nd and 4th Thursdays)

Minong at Community Library (2nd and 4th Thursdays)

Spooner, Chippewa Falls, and Eau Claire (4th Thursdays in the Winter Season)

Because of our aquaponics greenhouse, we are able to provide delicious CSA shares all year! And because many of our clients in the Northwoods are seasonal, we offer both a Summer Season and a Winter Season option. Check out our Summer CSA Signup Form for more details and pickup locations.

Two Types of Shares

Farm Share:

Fresh greens and herbs, all sorts of veggies, seasonal fruits, and a special “farm’s choice” item, like cheese, eggs, bakery, and other goodies, dependent on availability (does not include meat).

Meat Lover's Share:

20 lbs. assorted cuts of pork, lamb, beef, poultry, and fish—all from our farm or partner farms, with different assortments selected for a unique monthly theme.
